The Story Behind Kritech Codecube
Two developers who turned late-night coding sessions and endless coffee conversations into a professional services company that actually gets things done.
How We Started (And Why We're Still Here)
Back in early 2021, Leander and I were both working at different tech companies in Baku. We'd meet up every few weeks, usually complaining about the same things – projects that dragged on forever, clients who changed their minds every other day, and development teams that seemed to speak a completely different language than their business counterparts.
The turning point came when Leander's company lost a major client because nobody could explain why a simple website update was taking three months. That same week, I watched a perfectly good software project fail because the development team built exactly what was requested – but not what was actually needed.
So we started Kritech Codecube with a simple premise: what if a professional services company actually focused on solving business problems instead of just delivering technical solutions? Turns out, that was exactly what a lot of companies in Azerbaijan were looking for.
Meet the People Who Make It Work
We're not a huge team, but we've learned that sometimes smaller groups can move faster and communicate better than large departments.

Leander Kozlov
Lead Developer & Co-Founder
Leander spent six years at various software companies before co-founding Kritech Codecube. He's the kind of developer who actually reads documentation and somehow manages to explain complex technical concepts without making your eyes glaze over. When he's not debugging someone else's code, he's usually experimenting with new development frameworks or trying to convince people that proper testing actually saves time in the long run. His background spans everything from mobile apps to enterprise systems, which comes in handy when clients aren't entirely sure what they need.

Celeste Mammadova
Creative Director & Co-Founder
Before starting Kritech Codecube, Celeste worked in design and project management for several Baku-based companies. She's the one who figures out what clients actually want when they say they need "something modern and professional." Her approach combines visual design with practical business thinking – she'll spend as much time understanding your workflow as she does picking color schemes. Celeste also handles most of our client relationships, which works out well since she's better at translating between technical requirements and business goals than most people in either field.
What We've Learned Along the Way
Four years of running a professional services company teaches you things that no amount of technical training can prepare you for. We've worked with everyone from small local businesses to larger companies with offices across multiple cities.
The interesting part isn't the variety of technical challenges – though we've solved plenty of those. It's how similar the underlying business problems tend to be, regardless of industry or company size.
- Custom Software Development
- Business Process Analysis
- System Integration Planning
- Digital Workflow Design
- Technical Project Management
Most of our current clients came to us through referrals, which probably says something about how we approach project work. We've found that taking time to understand business context upfront usually prevents a lot of expensive changes later on.
